Wheel & Pedal Support
Information on the Wheel & Pedal resource
We utilize a resource that allows clients to use a Wheel & Pedal controller. This resource is 3rd party and will be treated as an "as-is" resource. This means we will only provide limited support and will not make any edits to the resource unless it comes from the original developer.
Open the UI: In-game, type /wheel in the chat and press Enter. This command brings up the Pickle Wheel configuration panel.
Select Your Device: In the UI, locate the dropdown menu and choose your connected wheel and pedal device (e.g., Logitech G29, Thrustmaster, etc.).
Customize Controls: Adjust settings such as:
It's recommended NOT to touch the Wheel Input Index, Throttle Input Index, or Brake Input Index unless you know what you're doing.
Wheel Deadzone: Fine-tune the steering sensitivity to eliminate unwanted input. Recommended: .30
Wheel Radius: The wheel's radius Recommended: 360
Controller/Command Actions: Assign in-game actions to your wheel buttons or pedals.
Binding
Open the UI: Type /wheel in chat and press Enter to bring up the Pickle Wheel configuration panel.
Select Control Pad: In the UI, ensure the “Control Pad” option is selected. Set the Control Type to 0 (standard input).
Find Your Control Index:
Refer to the FiveM Controls Reference.
Identify the key bound to the action on your keyboard. For example, if your police lights are bound to Q, search the list for Q and find 85 (INPUT_VEH_RADIO_WHEEL). Use 85 as your Control Index.
Map to Wheel Buttons:
On the left side of the UI, you’ll see a list of Button # values (e.g., Button 1, Button 2, etc.), corresponding to your wheel’s buttons.
Press a button on your wheel to test it—the matching Button # will light up red in the UI.
Assign the desired Control Index (e.g., 85 for police lights) to the highlighted Button #.
Save and Test: After mapping your controls, hit “Save” in the UI. Test the bindings in-game to ensure they work as expected.
Save Your Settings: Once you’ve tuned everything to your liking, click the “Save” button in the UI. These settings are stored locally, so they’ll persist across sessions.
