Getting started with a law enforcement agency is a huge step in the right direction of your life, and there's lots to learn as you proceed into your career. In law enforcement, you are given the burden to protect and serve the citizens of San Andreas; to do so, you need the right equipment and resources. Most of this information will be provided during your initial training and field training.

Clocking In & Out

You must clock in at your department's station to begin your shift. To do so, you will use your third-eye inside the station, typically near the reception desk. Concluding the end of your shift, you can repeat the previous steps to clock out.

Note: You cannot access specific areas, open specific menus / garages, and execute certain actions without being clocked in.

Changing Uniforms

After clocking in, head down to the locker room in the station to change into the appropriate uniform. You will be prompted to open the when you walk in.

Armory

Once you locate the armory inside your department's station, use your third- to open the Armory Menu and load up on firearms, non-lethal weapons, ammunition, handcuffs, and more.

Navigating the Work Menu

The law enforcement contains several critical actions to assist you in daily operations. This includes searching, jailing, escorting suspects, and much more. _ Please select the next tabs above the picture to learn more about navigating the work menu.

Change outfits on the fly with the Job Outfits menu, intended to be used when law enforcement needs to put on a jacket, vest, etc., on the road and cannot return to the station.

Inside the work menu are several actions you will use daily, including checking the health of a subject, impounding a vehicle, escorting, searching, jailing a suspect, and more.

Spawning Vehicles

You can spawn vehicles by finding the floating arrow in the parking lot of each station. Once you stand on the arrow, a menu appears on the screen. To enter the garage press LEFT ALT to gain control of your mouse, then on the menu

Vehicle Motorworks

Each station has a designated Motorworks interaction, allowing you to modify your patrol car to your desired preference. You can change the livery, paint color, rims, plate design, and vehicle extras at no cost!

/livery - show number of liveries /livery # - change to that livery /extra # - toggle that extra

You cannot save a vehicle to your garage, so you must modify your patrol car each time you begin your shift.

Cuffing Suspects

If people decide to get rowdy, you can cuff them. If you're going to cuff someone, it's recommended that you assign your cuffs to a hotkey in your inventory's 1-5 slot. When you go to cuff someone, you'll need to press that key to apply cuffs on them. Be aware that civilians have skills and can break out of cuffs when you put them on, so don't let your guard down!

Jailing Suspects

If you need to jail someone for their crimes, you'll need to access the Police Actions menu located in the Work menu. Click "Jail" in the vicinity of the person you're arresting. A menu will appear, and you'll select the prisoner, the prison you're sending them to, and their sentence length (in minutes). When finished you click confirm and they'll be sent to prison.

Weapon Serial Numbers

When you're retrieving a weapon from someone or somewhere, the weapon will have a serial number. You can view its serial number by hovering over the weapon and reading the serial number listed at the bottom of the right inventory page.

When people fire their weapons, shell casings will drop on the ground. You can use your flashlight or camera to see the casings on the ground and use an evidence bag to pick them up. If you use the evidence bag, you can access much more information, including specific details that can aid your investigation alongside verifying if specifics match up.

Camera

The camera, though a bit complex, can become easy to use with time and learning. It can bring your investigations to life and be a lifesaver in assisting in putting criminals away. To use the camera, drag it into use, and you'll be greeted with a camera screen where you can see items on the ground such as vehicle fragments, blood, and shell casings. You're able to take pictures of these items and save them to an SD card.

The camera has specific settings that can be edited. To access this menu, open your inventory and HOLD SHIFT while dragging the camera to use or double-clicking it. When opened, you'll see the Nikoff G900 Device Settings, which allow you to customize the camera overlay and eject/insert the SD card.

The first three options are a matter of personal preference; they will change the UI on the camera, affecting the outcome of the photos but won't have much impact otherwise.

View Image Space

If you need to verify how much space you have left on the camera, each SD card allows you to store up to 15 photos. If you exceed this limit, you'll have to grab a new one.

View Onboard Photos

After taking photos, you can view them again by checking the photos stored on the camera, which are the ones on the current SD card. If you scroll down the list and click a photo, you'll have a set of options and information about the photo that was taken, all of which can aid in your investigation.

Eject/Insert SD Card

This allows you to remove an SD card from the camera and place it into your inventory or replace it with another SD card from your inventory.

SD Card

When you've removed the SD card from the camera, you can name it by dragging it to use or double-clicking it. To view the photos on an SD card, you'll need to put it back into a camera for viewing.

CVE Weight Station

While active as a CVE Unit, you can man weight stations across the state. Hosting a station allows you to make use of the Vehicle Scale and being able to inspect Vehicles on the ramp.

Weight Scale

Confiscate Cargo

When you go to confiscate the illegal or overweight cargo, the Civilians will have their cargo removed from their trailer. You can let them drive off or you can arrest them and impound their vehicle.

When someone drives onto the weight scale, you'll stand by the laptop at the end of the driveway where you'll get information on the cargo. If you find the person to be driving with illegal load weight you're able to confiscate the cargo and charge/arrest the person. Alongside this, .
