Motor Pools

This page covers the use of motorpools and spawning vehicles

Motor Pool Types

There are 4 types of motor pools that are available

  1. Vehicles: these are where normal vehicles can be spawned, sedans, SUV's, trucks, etc

  2. Helicopters: located at helipads, these motorpools only spawn helicopters

  3. Boats: these are shared locations next to marinas or beaches near the water

  4. Heavy: these locations are located in larger parking lots at stations that can support larger vehicles, trailers, etc that need more room.

Spawning Vehicles

Each job's location/station has a place to spawn and return vehicles. You do not need to return the vehicle to the same station where it was spawned

  1. Once on duty, look for the colored (color varies by job) arrow pointing up, this indicates you can access motor pool vehicles at this point. Depending on the type of point, vehicle, heavy, helis or boats, the menu will display the appropriate vehicles.

  2. Press E to open the Menu, you first select a preset, a preset is a predefined list of liveries/extras that will be applied to the vehicle when spawned. Job Management (Bosses + Admin or Dev Liaison) can update vehicles and their presets. Presets could be based on divisions/subdivisions or vehicle type. For Helicopters, Heavies and Boats, it does not use presets and will go directly to choose a vehicle.

  3. Clicking a preset will present a list of vehicles that can be spawned with that preset, for example, if you choose the airport police preset, only vehicles with the airport police livery will be shown

  4. If at a vehicle spawn point, choosing a vehicle then will allow you to enter a plate number that will be applied to the vehicle.

  5. Click CONFIRM and the vehicle will be spawned in one of the available spawn points in the parking lot. If a spot is not available, it will not spawn a vehicle. You will need to wait for a spot to open up.

Vehicle Motorworks

Each station has a designated Motorworks interaction, allowing you to modify your patrol car to your desired preference. You can change the livery, paint color, rims, plate design, and vehicle extras at no cost!

/livery - show number of liveries /livery # - change to that livery /extra # - toggle that extra

You can find the motorworks in every station parking lot, indicated by a 3D Textbox on the left of your screen

You cannot save a vehicle to your garage, so you must modify your patrol car each time you begin your shift.

Editing Vehicles/Presets

This option, accessible via /editvehicles or via the Boss Menu, is accessible only by job boses that are either community admins or dev liaisons.

  1. Running the command or via Boss Menu with open the Vehicle Management menu

  2. Here you are given a list of all vehicles that can be spawned by the job

  3. Clicking on a vehicle will allow you to edit the vehicle details, manage presets or delete the vehicle.

  4. Clicking Manage Presets will allow you to add/remove/edit presets for that vehicle.

  5. Editing a preset will pop up this where you can edit the details of each preset.

  6. Once completed your edits, choose CONFIRM to apply your changes.

  7. The same idea applies for adding/editing vehicles, presets.
